Former Ireland international footballer Kevin Kilbane and his fiancée Brianne Delcourt have been telling Hello! magazine of their plans to get married later this year. The couple met in back in October when they were paired together for ITV skating show Dancing On Ice and it wasn’t long before their relationship developed away from the ice rink.
Kilbane popped the question earlier this month and the pair are now hoping to get married in Co. Mayo, the birthplace of Kevin’s father, in September or October of this year. Speaking about their upcoming nuptials, Delcourt told the publication “I have found the dress, and our heart is set on getting married in Ireland, it will be so beautiful, and it is special to Kevin.”

Kilbane added “Over the next month we are going there to introduce Brianne to my family, and to look at venues. We are going to set a date for September or October.”
The former Everton star also revealed that he followed tradition by calling Brianne’s father in Canada and asking for his blessing. Speaking about the exchange, the 110-time Ireland international said “I couldn’t tell you how the conversation went as I was so nervous. My heart was racing.”
