Liam Gallagher has claimed that Noel turned down £100m for Oasis reunion

Eleven years after they last performed together, the rumours of an Oasis reunion aren’t going away and Liam Gallagher is certainly doing his best to fuel them.

The frontman of one of the most revered British groups of all time regularly takes to Twitter to tease fans about the possibility of himself and his older brother Noel putting their differences aside and getting the band back together.

Liam, who is currently carving out a successful solo career, was in one of those moods last night it seems as he posted a tweet which certainly got Oasis fans excited, saying: ‘We’re getting back together Noel Gallagher being minted and rich as fuck he’s doing it for nothing me being a desperate cunt and have fuck all else going for himself I’m doing it for the cash.’

It was natural to suspect that Liam Gallagher’s tongue was firmly placed in his cheek with the outburst and this was confirmed minutes later when he posted the following: ‘We’ve been offered 100 million pounds for a tour still not enough for the greedy soul oh well stay young LG.’

£100m? We’ll do it for half that. Oasis were one the most iconic groups of the 1990s, producing two of the decade’s seminal albums in Definitely Maybe and (What’s The Story) Morning Glory. Their success carried over to the 2000s, although not at the same level, and the band finally part ways after one bust-up too many in 2009.

While it seems that Noel will take some convincing, there’s always hope. Keep pushing, Liam.
