Love Island finale date

We have less than two weeks to wait before the winner of Winter Love Island is announced.

ITV confirmed the date for the Love Island finale on Wednesday afternoon and it turns out there are just 11 days remaining in the winter version of the reality dating show.

Laura Whitmore will take to the Cape Town villa to announce the series winner on Sunday, February 23.

The victory of last summer’s winning couple, Amber Gill and Limerick man Greg O’Shea, was considered something of an upset considering how little time the pair had together in the villa.

Paige and Finn are currently the favourite couple to win this series although Shaughna remains one of the most popular individuals in the villa, despite not being part of a couple.

The teaser trailer for Wednesday night’s episode suggests that Shaughna has her eyes on another popular islander, Luke M, and should they get together then they may well give Paige and Finn a run for their money.

The winter version of Love Island is a couple of weeks shorter than its summer counterpart and it is the first that has been presented by Bray woman, Laura Whitmore.

Whitmore took over from long-time host Caroline Flack in January amid legal controversy surrounding the latter.
