As soon as it was announced that Donald Trump would be coming to Ireland in November, plans were being put in place for mass protests around the country. One such event, Say Nope To The Dope, has already been confirmed and there will doubtless be a lot more to come.
Ireland’s favourite bedding flogger Mattress Mick, however, clearly has other things on his mind, and has reached out to the U.S. President with an offer of a mattress during his stay.
A tweet reads:
‘I am very worried that when Donald Trump comes to visit us here that he won’t get a good nights sleep.
‘I feel it’s my responsibility to make sure he does and would like to give him a quality Irish made Mattress to use free of charge. Cheers.’

While Mick’s intentions are presumably quite innocent, a number of people responded to the post expressing their dismay…
It might be time for a lie down.
