Metallica took a well-earned break after their sold-out Slane performance on Saturday night for a spot of sightseeing around Ireland.
The group flew their private helicopter out to Co. Clare on Monday and took in the stunning sights at the Cliffs of Moher, before stopping off for a bite to eat at Vaughan’s Anchor Inn in Liscannor.
One of the best restaurants in the area, the fine dining spot is just five minutes outside of the popular seaside town of Lahinch.

James Hetfield and co parked their helicopter behind the restaurant and went for a tour of the cliffs before coming back for dinner at around 6pm, according to The Independent.
Word apparently spread quickly, as there were crowds of people outside hoping to catch a glimpse of the band before they jumped back in their helicopter and headed back to Dublin.
They’re not the first celebrities to make an appearance at Vaughan’s Anchor Inn, either – owner Lisa Vaughan revealed that they’ve had “a few stars through the doors now”, including Bob Geldof last summer.
