The First Trailer For 'Silence' Starring Liam Neeson Is Visually Stunning

The first trailer for the much-anticipated Silence has just dropped.

The story follows two Portuguese priest (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) who are searching for their missing mentor (Liam Neeson) in 17th century Japan. However, the holy men face persecution and violence in a country where Christianity is outlawed...

Directed and written for the screen by the cinematic legend that is Martin Scorsese, this adaptation of Shusaku Endo’s 1966 novel was a staggering 28 years in development. 

Silence hits cinemas in 2017.
