We’re in the midst of a new series of First Dates Ireland and already the daters have provided us with many memorable moments.
As awkward interactions between strangers go, it doesn’t get much worse than this age-related faux pas so it’s good to know that tonight’s episode will feature some good old-fashioned wholesome content.
In a teaser shared by RTE ahead of tonight’s screening, we meet Lorraine who is revealed to something of a music buff. One genre in particular has captured her interest over the years as she goes on to say that she’s a big fan of rock music. Her heroes include Meat Loaf and Sid Vicious but she has a particular grá for Shane McGowan and even expresses her envy for The Pogues frontman’s wife Victoria.
Thankfully for Lorraine, her date is also a big music lover although he’s more of a classical man. He does have respect for ‘good pop music’ though with one iconic warbler getting a mention in the clip below…
