This Thursday sees the beginning of the much-anticipated 2018 FIFA World Cup meaning that international footballers from all over the world are descending on Russia to begin final preparations.
Except of course for the Republic Of Ireland as we failed to qualify for the footy fest but sure we’ve all gotten over that haven’t we?
On the plus side for our lads, having the summer free means that they can enjoy the odd session before heading back for club duties in August and that seems to be what they were doing at Robbie Brady and Kellie Harris’ wedding over the weekend.
Striker Shane Long’s wife Kayleah has posted a video on Instagram of her husband belting out Don’t by Ed Sheeran at the star-studded ceremony and by the looks of it he had his audience in the palm of his hand.
Shane has always had a reputation as a bit of a songster and his guitar-playing has become a feature of Ireland’s away trips and nights out here at home. At least he’ll have plenty of time to hone his skills this summer while watching the World Cup. Always look on the bright side, eh?
