Yesterday, Irish Ed Sheeran fans were left sweating after it was revealed the singer has been asked to perform at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle later this year.
Fair play to him and all that but there's only one problem. The Shape Of You star had already been confirmed to play the Phoenix Park in Dublin on the same date - Saturday May 19.
We've always had an affinity with Ed here in the Emerald Isle and we'd be fierce disappointed if he cancelled in order to play some wedding across the water. Like, we wouldn't be angry, Ed. Just disappointed.
However, things may not be as bad as we feared. According to the Irish Independent, Warner Music has now stated that 'Ed will be on stage at the Dublin location as planned.'
The Royal Wedding is scheduled to take place at noon on the day, so the likelihood is that if Ed is taking part he'll play at the ceremony before hopping on a plane over to Dublin, missing Harry and Meghan's after party. Sure he's bound to have better craic over here anyway.
