Interesting fact of the day.
We’re all aware that Ireland is a great place to grow up and that a lot of European parents love sending their kids here to learn English.
We’re just that class.
But, what if we told you that a few teenagers that studied here turned out to be pretty powerful individuals – running countries and what not?
For example, the new Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, studied English here as a teenager.
The Taoiseach took to Twitter to express his delight that Prime Minister Sanchez learned English here in his youth.
And if that wasn’t enough, the Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, and the Luxembourgish Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, also studied here too.
Delighted to learn that the Spanish PM @sanchezcastejon learned English in Ireland as a teenager. So with @sebastiankurz and @Xavier_Bettel that makes three European PMs who studied in Ireland. The intangible value of English language learning in Ireland must be huge.
