When the people at Sky Sports was deciding which pundits to have on for last night’s Manchester Derby, you can imagine someone in the social media department piping up with the name Roy Maurice Keane.
All day Twitter has been hopping with the Corkman’s astute observations on the current state of his former club Manchester United as they were humbled 2-0 at home by their crosstown rivals Manchester City.
As always with Keane, there were plenty of eye rolls, most of them aimed in the direction of his more sympathetic former teammate Gary Neville. He also provided some frank viewpoints on the task facing United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Norwegian aims to turn the club around.
Some of Keane’s best bits were shared by Sky One magazine show Soccer AM and can be seen in the below video…

The former Ireland assistant manager arguably saved his harshest criticism for Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba, claiming that he wouldn’t believe a word the Frenchman said in his pre-match interview.
🗣 "I wouldn't believe a word he says!"

Tell us what you really think, Roy. United will have a chance to make amends when they face Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday. Keane, as well as millions of others, will certainly be hoping for an improvement on last night.
