Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher will be reunited on Monday Night Football tonight

In a Premier League season where Liverpool are running away with the title, a lot of the most heated match-ups have taken place in the Sky Sports studio and tonight’s Monday Night Football should be no different.

Monday Night Football on Sky Sports features live coverage of Chelsea v Manchester United but with neither team in great form, many viewers will be more interested in the pre and post-match debates between Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher.

The two pundits were involved in an angry exchange back in January after runaway league leaders Liverpool beat United 2-0, leading to Keane calling for his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be given more time as manager of the struggling Red Devils.

Carragher attempted to put United’s miserable run into perspective by comparing it with what’s going on at Liverpool where all would appear to be rosy under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp. As the heated discussion went on, Keane and Carragher became more Cork and Scouse respectively and by the end, they just seemed to be yelling high-pitched sounds at each other.

If you need a refresher, Sky Sports have summed it all up in a promo for tonight’s show, featuring the aforementioned clash as well as some other recent verbal sparring matches between the fiery pair…

Monday Night Football is often more entertaining for the in-studio discussions than for the action on the pitch and at a good solid four hours, including the game itself, your whole evening is sorted.

Keane and Carragher will draw swords at 7pm before the Chelsea v Man United kicks off an hour later. No matter who wins, there’s sure to be plenty of talking points to the lads to stick their teeth into. Let’s make it a good clean fight.
