We all knew that Mariah was more ready than ever to get into the Christmas mood this year. Once November first hit, she was literally smashing Halloween pumpkins with a candy cane coloured baseball bat, dressed head to toe in red glitter. It’s no secret – she’s a fan of the festive season.
But she’s after knocking us for six by going and releasing a new Christmas single. We simply didn’t see it coming. We’ve barely had time to fish our Santa hats out of the attic. But nonetheless, it’s time to get on board. Fall in Love at Christmas featuring Khalid and Kirk Franklin is here, and you can watch the video below.
It’s got a proper 00’s Mariah vibe (I’ve been instantly transported back to 2005, scouring the music channels in search of the We Belong Together video), whistle notes and everything. Possibly a bit slow for the Coppers dance floor but look gals, we’ll find a way to make it work.
