The first headline act for All Together Now 2021 has been confirmed

James Fenton

All Together Now have confirmed that Underworld will take to the stage at Curraghmore Estate when the festival returns in 2021.

Like pretty much everything else in 2020, All Together Now was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic but organisers have already kick-started the 2021 buzz by announcing dance duo Underworld as the first headline act. The group, consisting of Rick Smith and Karl Hyde, are well known for their 1996 global smash Born Slippy .NUXX, which featured on the soundtrack for Trainspotting. Before that, they were major players in the 90s underground techno scene and have since gone on to become renowned for their visually pleasing live performances.

They had been due to appear at Forbidden Fruit this year and have previously appeared at All Together Now in 2018. This year’s festival takes place over the weekend of July 30 until August 1.

It’s been promised that Underworld are the first of many headliners to be announced for the Co. Waterford festival but it remains to be seen if scheduled 2020 performers such as Lauryn Hill, Iggy Pop and Sinead O’Connor will be making appearances.

Tickets for All Together Now 2021 are now on sale with a number of instalment plans in place. More details can be found here.
