The Real-Life Murphy And Peña From ‘Narcos’ Have Announced Two Irish Shows

If you’re a fan of Netflix crime series ‘Narcos’ or just a general crime buff then we’ve got some great news for you.

DEA agents Javier Peña and Steve Murphy, who inspired the characters of the same name in the hugely-popular series about the takedown of Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Esobar.

Peña and Murphy are played by Pedro Pascal and Boyd Holbrook respectively but now the real-life version have announced 2018 conversation shows at the Cork Opera House and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

Agents Pena and Murphy will speak about the rise and fall of the Medellin Cartel and the role the Agents played in bringing down its notorious leader, the ‘King of Cocaine’. The evening’s discussion will shed light on their input into the hit Netflix series, where they will reveal information which does not feature in the show, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

Of course, eagle-eyed fans will know that the two men once appeared in an episode clinking glasses in a bar.

The intimate behind-the-scenes chat sounds like the perfect night out for any ‘Narcos’ fan. Tickets costing €39.50 go on sale on Thursday morning at 9am.
