We all know that our very own wizard in residence, President Michael D Higgins, is an absolute gentleman and the cutest human to ever walk this earth.Â
(Okay maybe we’re sliightly too obsessed with him – no judgement, plz.)
There’s been photos of this dote riding a BMX on a skate ramp, but that legendary snap may have just been outdone by this latest photo taken on Salthill Promenade, Galway.
Yep – Michael D is just full on having the casual chats with a man and his parrot.
The pure perfection of a photo was papped by Noel McDonagh, who told The Irish Mirror all about the moment.
“He stopped and was talking to everyone and when I spotted the bird on his shoulder I had to have a picture.
“I’m sorry we didn’t get one with him now.
“He had security with him but he was so nice chatting to everyone. He really is a man of the people.”
And ‘the people’ are absolutely loving this latest addition to the album of Pres Higgins.
