One of the country’s favourite funnymen, he’s been making us laugh ever since his debut as Fr. Kevin the depressed priest in the iconic Father Ted.

Kept busy between being a TV chat show host along with appearances on the ever-popular Derry Girls, it’s also been revealed that Tiernan will replace Ray D’Arcy on RTÉ’s prime time Saturday night slot.

Arguably best loved for his performances onstage though, he’ll return with his ‘notions for a new show’ tour, A Work In Progress in early 2020.

Audiences are in for mischief and mayhem in equal measure as he explores his ideas “in their rough and ready state”. The show will see Tiernan attempt to cram six months’ worth of thinking into a 90-minute stand-up routine.
