Eight Cosy Christmas Movies To Watch On Netflix For The Ultimate Duvet Day

Sarah

Everyone has firm seasonal favourites to watch this time of year – that one movie that instantly gives you that Christmas feeling from your head right down to your toes. For some it’s Love Actually, for others it’s Home Alone

Whatever it is, chances are Netflix has you sorted with a good ol’ festive flick that you can watch snuggled up in bed drinking a Baileys hot choc in your dressing gown (it’s Christmas, you’re meant to act like a slob).

Here’s eight of the must-watch Christmas movies on Netflix this winter:

1. A Very Murray Christmas

Bill Murray and Christmas? These are a few of my favourite things.

2. Jingle All The Way

A desperate dad must match wits with a sleazy Santa, a stressed-out mailman and a horde of parents to procure a hot new toy on Christmas Eve.

3. Deck The Halls

An optometrist’s Christmas celebration gets upstaged by a new neighbor who wants to create a holiday display bright enough to be seen from space.

4. The Night Before

This film about three best friends who decide to end their tradition of wild holiday partying -but not before one final drug-fueled Christmas Eve in New York – is hands down my new fave festive watch.

5. A Christmas Prince

Christmas comes early for an aspiring young journalist when she’s sent abroad to get the scoop on a dashing prince who’s poised to be king.

Fun fact: 53 people in the US have watched this every single day on Netflix for the past 18 days.

6. A Miracle On 34th Street (1994)

A lawyer and a little girl must prove that a man claiming to be Santa Claus is the real thing. This sounds bizarre but is an instant classic.

7. Love Actually

Because if this isn’t your all-time favourite Christmas movie you have a heart of pure cold stone. Look, someone had to tell you the truth, okay? On Irish Netflix Thursday 14 December.

8. El Camino Christmas

A young Man, who seeks out a father he has never met, through no fault of his own, ends up barricaded in a liquor store with five other people on Christmas Eve.

Can we just call in sick to work from now until 2018 to watch these pleaaaaaase?
