Apparently This Is The Best Family Christmas Movie And It Might Surprise You

With 32 days to go until the big day, it might be the right time to stick on a Christmas movie (or two) to get you in the festive mood.

If you're looking for something to watch, Elf has been named as the best Christmas movie to watch with your family.

Ranker has put the classic 2003 comedy starring Will Ferrell at the top of the list.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas came in second place while The Santa Claus movie came in third place.

Surprisingly enough, Home Alone didn't even make the cut for the best PG - 13 Christmas movies and our favourite, Love Actually didn't either.

If you haven't seen Elf, it also stars Zooey Deschanel and James Caan and revolves around Buddy The Elf venturing from the North Pole to try find his biological father in New York.

I think it's a classic and I'm definitely going to be sitting down with a cup of hot chocolate by the fire pretty soon to watch it with my family.
