WATCH: The Dunnes Stores Christmas Ad Is The Cutest Thing You'll See Today

John Lewis has some competition...

The first wave of Christmas ads has started to come in and a fair few of them have been getting serious praise online.

There’s the lovely John Lewis ad starring Elton John, the 'banned' Iceland ad and the McDonald’s one featuring Santa and his reindeer to name just a few.

And now the Dunnes Stores ad has started to create a fair bit of buzz on Twitter and beyond – and it’s not hard to see why.

With the theme ‘Make Christmas For Everyone,’ the video follows a group of kids as they embark of a festive adventure.

They rush to light up their town with Christmas lights after a troubling weather forecast has them worried that Santa might not be able to find them and deliver their toys.

The kids in the ad were cast from 450 applicants around the country and it was filmed in Inistioge in Co Kilkenny, Kildare town and Blessington in Co Wicklow.

It’s adorable to say the least and has been giving us major 90s Christmas film vibes.
