Hello Nurse! Two Brand New Seasons Of ‘Animaniacs’ Have Been Confirmed

James Fenton

If you were born in the late ’80s or early ’90s, there’s a good chance you spent your afternoons following the zany to the max antics of the Warner Brothers and the Warner Sister Dot.

When Animaniacs first hit our screens in 1993, it wasn’t long before it became a firm favourite of adults and kids alike. Partly taking the form of a sketch comedy series, the show featured a host of segments focusing on different characters, each one as hilarious as the last.

It’s now been confirmed that the cult favourite is set to return for two brand new seasons with Steven Spielberg coming back as executive producer.

We’re looking forward to hearing this iconic theme tune again…

The show launched a whole host of breakout characters, most notably the hapless lab mice Pinky and The Brain…

Then there was Mindy and her protective hound Buttons…

And he wears a disguise to look like human guys but he’s not a man, he’s a Chicken Boo…

And that’s only to name a few. The new Animaniacs will be available on streaming service Hulu and if it’s half as good as the old version it’ll be worth the subscription fee alone.

Spielberg told Variety that he was ‘so pleased and proud that Animaniacs will have a home at Hulu. Together with Warner Bros., we look to bring new audiences and longtime fans into this wild world of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. I am also excited that the full library of Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures episodes are included in the deal.”

Fans will have to wait though as the new episodes won’t air until 2020 but that gives us plenty of time to catch up on the old exploits of all our favourite characters.
