The Best Christmas Movie Ever Is On TV Tonight And Yeah It’s Only Mid-October

We thought it was bad enough that Temple Bar erected this massive Christmas tree last week but we think this could be ten times worse.

We’re not scrooges, in fact we love Christmas but when it starts before we’ve even celebrated Halloween, something is seriously wrong.

‘Home Alone’ is on E4 on Tuesday night at 8pm, a whole two and a bit months before the big day itself.

If you can sit there and watch while Macaulay Culkin tries to protect him home from burglars while his family left him behind at Christmas, safe in the knowledge that WE’RE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO NOVEMBER YET, then we’re sure you’re delighted with the news.

All anger aside, this is the best Christmas movie ever made and is miles ahead of the second best one ever made, (which is Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, in case you were wondering.)

But although it is one of the best festive movies ever made, Culkin admitted on the Ellen Show this year that he can’t “really watch them all that often.”

“It’s background radiation at Christmastime.

“I’ve had people who want to sit down and watch it with me, which is both flattering and creepy.”

“I can’t watch it the same way other people can,” and when asked by the host if he would recreate his Home Alone ‘face’, you know the one, he was having none of it.

“No. Been there, done that already. I’m 37 now, O.K.? O.K., mom?.”
