This Irish TV Show Is On Netflix Nearly Everywhere In The World – Apart From Ireland

Last year RTE released a miniseries called Rebellion to mark the centenary of the 1916 Rising.

It was widely watched here and got sold on to Netflix, where it is apparently available almost everywhere in the world – apart from Ireland.

You can no longer watch episodes on the RTE Player, either.

Discussion is ongoing about this on Reddit at the moment, with some people expressing disappointment at not being able to (easily and legally) watch the show in its country of origin.

It’s a similar deal with Love/Hate, which is available on Netflix in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg but not here.

RTE confirmed to us that they have exclusive rights to screen Rebellion so it’s a case of you snoozed, you lost – unless they show it on TV again.
