If you were one of the thousands of people who tried and failed to get yourself tickets to this year’s Late Late Toy Show, don’t despair just yet because there’s still a chance for you to bag yourself a pair.

RTÉ announced today that they’re running a competition to find “the country’s most festive baked treat”.

If you’re a dab hand at baking, all you’ve got to do is create a “Toy Show inspired Christmas treat”, take a picture of it and post it to the RTÉ One Facebook page, on Instagram or on Twitter using the hashtag #ToyShowTreats.

Host Ryan Tubridy said, “Is there anything better than the smell of festive baking? Maybe tickets to The Toy Show?

“I want you to dust off your rolling pin and create something inspired by the most fabulously festive night of the year – The Late Late Toy Show.

“Send pictures to us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and if you have flour power, the whisk might just pay off and we could be seeing you on November 30!”

The Toy Show is only two weeks away now and preparations for the TV highlight of the season are well underway.

Earlier this week, Ryan old listeners on his RTÉ Radio One Show that he is “struggling to learn how to sing half a song” ahead of the big night but is “trying his hardest to get it together”.
