The I’m A Celeb contestants have to eat some fairly disgusting things during their stay in the jungle.
But this year it’s been rumoured that the vegans among them won’t have to join in if it’s meat-based and could even be exempt from the infamous Bushtucker Trials.
That’s why people were left seriously confused when so-called ‘vegans’ Fleur East, Sair Khan and James McVey were filmed eating meat and dairy products.
someone please tell me why Sair Khan is eating emu when she’s vegan?! she’s been taken off the animal trials for being vegan along side Fleur and James so why the hell is she eating meat?! @imacelebrity #wtf

Fleur East faced backlash from the public for eating wallaby wings in the jungle, though it turns out her diet is only “80% plant-based”.
A spokesperson tweeted from Fleur’s official account, ‘Just to address, Fleur is not a vegan.
‘For health reasons she has in the past followed a vegan diet, but she is not adhering to this in the jungle. She has always eaten meat throughout her life.’
Meanwhile the Vamps’ James McVey is actually vegetarian, not vegan, hence why he was seen eating a scone but steered clear of the wallaby wings.
Hey guys. James is vegetarian and he didn’t eat any wallaby tonight, just the veggies that came with the meals they were given ???????????? #TeamJames #imaceleb (great pic ????) pic.twitter.com/v4zBPTvWnb

As well as that, it turns out Sair has always been a meat eater.
A rep for the Coronation Street actress tweeted from her account, ‘Oh, and by the way – Sair isn’t vegetarian or vegan. We’ve no idea where that came from.’
