WATCH: This Wexford Family Were Reunited With Their Stolen Doggy After Six Months

Sarah

There’s nothing worse than the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet – so we can only imagine how upsetting it was for one Wexford family whose little bichon frise, Coco, got stolen from their family home in October 2016.

Coco hadn’t been seen since, but last Thursday Dublin SPCA took a call from a member of the public to say a little dog was loose on the road in an estate in Tallaght D24 and that it looked in a bad way.

When their inspector found Coco (yes, little Coco was found!) she was neglected.

She was terrified, dirty, matted, and had very sore skin but when he got her back to the shelter he scanned her and realised she was microchipped.

Needless to say the family were over the moon to be reunited with their pup, and just LOOK at the moment when Coco realises its them.

SO CUTE this is the greatest video we’ve ever seen.

DSPCA had a very important message for dog owners, so take note: “Once again we see the importance of having our pet’s microchipped and registered, if Coco’s family had not done this they would probably never have seen her again!”
