WATCH: Adam King returned to the Late Late to meet one of his space heroes last night

James Fenton

Adam King, the most famous little man in Ireland, returned to our screens last night just a week after his appearance on the Late Late Toy Show.

Last Friday night, Adam King captured the hearts of the nation, and indeed the world, when he arrived on the Toy Show set with his virtual hug and his passion for all things space. Since his appearance, Adam has been inundated with messages, including a very special one from NASA, and last night he returned to quiz one of his heroes, astronaut Chris Hadfield.

Appearing alongside a couple of his siblings, Adam listened intently as Chris filled him in on his own experiences in space and as a CAPCOM (capsule communicator), a role which the six-year-old Cork boy expressed his interest in during the Toy Show.

It was a long week for the nation without seeing Adam King and if you missed the Late Late last night you can catch up below…

Viewers also met Adam’s dad David who thanked well wishers for all their lovely messages and tributes to Adam. David also spoke about how he felt Adam’s virtual hug and general spirit was something that the nation needed now more than ever and we couldn’t agree more. If you like to here more from David, his book But Really… Adventures With a Difference, inspired by Adam. is available in shops now.

He’s gonna go a long way, that kid. To infinity and beyond.
