WATCH: Fans of The Last Dance will love this Irish pianist’s latest piece

James Fenton

The Last Dance is without doubt one of Netflix’s most talked-about shows of 2020, with millions tuning in to reflect on Michael Jordan’s career with the Chicago Bulls.

While viewers have been gripped by the on-court action and Jordan’s various beefs with opponents and teammates, the soundtrack to The Last Dance has also been roundly praised.

One tune that many would have heard before, without knowing of its connection to the Chicago Bulls, is Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project. At the end of the first episode of The Last Dance, viewers hear the song as the famous Bulls walk out onto the court and it pops up on plenty more occasions throughout the series.

Irish pianist Rachael O’Donovan has taken on the tune herself, posting her rendition to her Twitter page, as she has been doing regularly during lockdown. Rachael’s take on Sirius will nearly have you reaching for the remote to start watching The Last Dance all over again and you can check out the clip in full below…

Rachael has been entertaining her followers with these videos for months now, with several of her clips being shared far and wide. She previously told Lovin.ie: “I started off doing a 30 Day Music Challenge to keep myself busy since the start of lockdown” before the likes of Teisto even started sharing her pieces.

You can check out Rachael’s rendition of the UEFA Champions League theme song here.
