Back with a bang.
The Late Late Show returned to our screens last night and it's fair to say Ryan Tubridy gave viewers exactly what they wanted in terms of guests.
Over the summer, the nation was captivated by Maura Higgins and Greg O'Shea on Love Island, Aisling Bea introduced her new comedy series This Way Up and Lewis Capaldi was being, well, Lewis Capaldi by entertaining millions on stage, online and in a well-documented public spat with Noel Gallagher.
All four stars mentioned above were on the Late Late sofa last night and while they each had the audience hanging on their every word, there was one moment that completely stole the show.
Legendary Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor performed A Rainy Night in Soho before chatting to Ryan about reverting to Islam, life in her 50s and her career in general.
Before she left, she got up in front of the mic again for a rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U, perhaps her most iconic song. Judging by the reactions online, Sinéad's haunting version of the tune went down a storm.

Sinéad has sold out a run at Vicar Street for this coming October and if her shows are anything like last night's performance then ticket-holders are in for a treat.
