Sky have released a trailer for new documentary series Murder at the Cottage: The Search for Justice for Sophie.
Produced in Ireland, the five-part series will be based around the unsolved case of Sophie Toscan du Plantier, who was murdered in West Cork in 1996. Directed by multiple Academy Award nominee Jim Sheridan, it will contain input from those closest to the case, including Sophie’s family while key suspect Ian Bailey is also expected to feature.
Sky say that ‘By piecing together original evidence, never-before-seen footage and interviews with those closest to the case, Sheridan will take viewers on a journey as he unravels the unsolved case that has haunted West Cork for 25 years.’
The series will arrive on Sky Crime and NOW on Sunday, June 20 and you can get a taster in the short teaser below…
