WATCH: The 2020 Toy Show trailer highlights the challenges children face during Covid-19

RTE have released the trailer for the 2020 Late Late Toy Show and as expected, it’s a little different to what we’re used to.

It’s been a crazy year but with Christmas on the way, people across Ireland are hoping to finish 2020 by spending some long overdue time with loved ones. At this stage, The Late Late Toy Show is one of the traditional starting points of the festive season and RTE have given us an appetiser for the 2020 edition by releasing a trailer for it last night.

In the clip, a young girl is seen struggling with the isolation caused by Covid-19 restrictions, longing to see her friends and missing out on all the things that children should have been doing this year. She then receives a thoughtful surprise from her family members who ensure that she can watch the Late Late Toy with some of her pals after all. Albeit, in somewhat unusual circumstances but we’re all used to having to innovate these days.

The Late Late Toy Show airs on RTE One on Friday, November 27 and you can watch the trailer for it below…
