As Cavan were beating Monaghan in the Ulster Football Championship yesterday, the crowd was introduced to an unexpected guest.
The fleet-footed pooch entered the Breffni Park pitch in the first half, leading to a pause in play. As the referee and some players attempted to persuade the new arrival to say his goodbyes the dog was having none of it and ran around the pitch for the best part of a minute and a half.
Legend. You have to admire the determination and the dog’s Championship stint will arguably be longer than some of the weaker counties this year. Check out the clip in full below.
