WATCH: Vito from The Sopranos has an x-rated message for League of Ireland fans

James Fenton

They don’t call it the Greatest League in the World for nothing.

While very of us are actually working in an office this days, it might still be worth putting the headphones in for this NSFW video, particularly if you have little ones running around your feet.

This coming Friday, Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers face off in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division in a battle of two of the most successful Irish clubs of recent years. While The Lilywhites have struggled so far this year, they could be boosted by the support of one of Tony Soprano’s subordinates.

Joseph R. Gannascoli, who played Vito Spatafore in the massive HBO hit, has a delivered rallying call to Dundalk that’s a little bit on the explicit side, it’s fair to say. Decked out in the black and white of the 14-time League of Ireland champions, Gannascoli firmly nails his colours to the mast, calling on the club to beat “the Shams like Tony beat Ralphie up.”

It gets better from there and you can watch the clip in full, originally posted by Irishify, below…

Yikes. You’ll be able to watch the game unfold on WATCHLOI.ie and, well, let’s just hope Dundalk win, for everyone’s sake.
