Childhood sweethearts James Barry and Orla Gallagher have been together for over 13 years and recently, James decided to make it official. And James definitely doesn’t do things by halves…
It all began early Sunday morning when James commissioned Irish sand artist Sean Corcoran to draw the words “ORLA, WILL YOU MARRY ME?” in a huge heart, on Stradbally Cove in Waterford.

As James led Orla through the rain, the City of Waterford Brass Band started playing and made the moment truly spectacular.
Luckily, there was a photographer close by to snap the moment that Orla said yes.
“So on a rainy day in Stradbally, James proposed to Orla and she said YES. It’s been weeks in the making, one path created, one sand artist, one marching band, one rainy day and one couple in love, it’s been fun and I’m delighted to have been part of it!” said the photographer.
