You can watch the remake of The Witches at home just in time for Halloween

Rory Cashin

The original was one of the scariest movies we watched when we were younger, so our expectations are high for this remake of The Witches.

It was just a few days ago that we brought you the first trailer for the new adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic The Witches, and at the time it was intended for the movie to arrive in Irish cinemas just in time for Halloween.

However, with the state of the cinema-going world being what it is right now, those plans have now been changed and The Witches will be made available to watch from the comfort of your own couch… also just in time for Halloween!

Directed by Academy Award-winner Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back To The Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), this new adaptation stars Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway, Oscar-winner Octavia Spenser, Oscar-nominee Stanley Tucci, and Emmy-winner Chris Rock.

You can rent the movie through Premium Video on Demand (PVOD), and once rented, the movie will be available to watch as many times as you like for 48 hours from the time when it was initially rented. PVOD sites usually include Rakuten, Sky Store, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, etc.

The Witches will be available to watch at home from Monday, October 26, and you can check the official website on the day of release to see which platforms will have the movie available.

In the meantime, why not check out the trailer (again?) right here:
