The Viaduct, named after Cork landmark The Chetwynd Viaduct Bridge, is a new café, restaurant, and market that is launching on Monday 19th September. Their website says this of the latest spot to launch in Cork.

The Viaduct restaurant, café & market is family-friendly and suitable for all occasions. Brimming with character and warm hospitality, here you can enjoy delicious homemade meals created from the best locally sourced and freshest ingredients, served in a modern yet relaxed atmosphere.”

What is probably most remarkable about The Viaduct is its close proximity to the mid-19th century landmark the Chetwynd Viaduct Bridge, both nestled just off the N71. As a result if you’re hoping to visit the Cork landmark bridge, The Viaduct will be the perfect restaurant to dine in before or after.

The Viaduct, formerly known as The Viaduct Inn, was taken over in 2022 by the Cliste Hospitality family and underwent major renovations and refurbishment to get it ready to reopen.

CEO of Cliste Hospitality, Paul Fitzgerald, says this of what to expect on their website:

Our concept at The Viaduct is that of a modern Irish brasserie, a food and drink hall, and restaurant with menus changing seasonally that will become a destination dining option both for the local Bishopstown and wider Cork population and also for commuters to West Cork.”

The new restaurant will serve everything from breakfast, to small bites, to a full carvery dinner. You can check out their menu and book ahead HERE.

As for the market, it will open daily from 7am to 7pm.
