The Best Takeaways In Ireland Have Been Revealed – Here’s What Topped The List

Sarah Finnan

There is nothing more glorious than a takeaway.

Always a good idea; be it midweek to help you over the Wednesday slump, for so-called filthy Fridays (a lunchtime staple at the Lovin offices), or at the weekend to cure one hell of a hangover.

IT’S FRIDAY NIGHT GOOD PEOPLE OF BELFAST!!!!! And it’s the debut of our newest ramen bowl, the Guinness Ramen. Guinness has played a pretty integral role for the people of this island. Or at least it has for me. When my (American) mother was pregnant with me in 1970’s Dublin, she suffered from anemia. The doctor’s advice? Drink Guinness. When I was a university student in 1990’s Dublin, the blood donation people would come to the college every year, and do you know what they gave us for recovery after our donation? Guinness. (You’d get pretty tipsy off a single glass.) It’s just all all-rounder, is Guinness. So why not put it in an Irish ramen? But it’s not just cooked down into the meat, like you would do in a Guinness stew. As you can see in this video, Brian & team have recreated the delicious creamy head — everyone’s favourite part of a pint of Guinness — by using a foam gun. (So ’90’s, I know.) The resultant first bite tastes just like a pint, but then the foam melts into the broth giving it a light sweetness that coats the slurpy noodles. Perfect for setting you up for your big Friday night out. Cheers! . . . . . . . . #beerstagram #food #instabeer #beerporn #instagood #cheers #happyhour #foodporn #beerlover #foodie #yum #weekend #love #instafood #thisisirishfood #belfast #guinness #belfastramen #foodrebels #slurpmynoodles #unitedkingdom #visitireland #discoverni #ni #bestofbelfast #lovebelfast #vscoireland #visitbelfast #instabelfast #vsconi
