As far as outdoor dining areas go, this spot takes the biscuit.
Gorse Restaurant is a new pop-up serving the best of land and sea at Clifden Boat Club, and you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere more scenic than this:

Seriously, how stunning? And based on the insta alone, the food definitely matches the view. Gorse is the brainchild of Tom Mullan (who previously rain Báidín in Clifden) and Head Chef Damian McGill. The guys have collaborated with local suppliers to create a menu that’s seasonal, unique and full of flavour, and we’ve spent the morning swooning over it. Whether you’re a seafood lover, a veggie or a hardcore carnivore, there’s something on the menu for you. We’ve spied spiced pumpkin risotto (for all my PSL lovers), dreamy fish tacos, and get a load of this BBQ Beef Rib:

The ultimate comfort food, and it also comes in sandwich form:

Gorse will be open at Clifden Boat Club for the next few weekends for lunch and dinner, and I’ve no doubt foodies from far and wide will be making the trip out. A great excuse for a trip to Connemara, as if we needed one. They’re open Thursday-Sunday, 12-3 for lunch and 5:30-8:30 for dinner. Catch them while you can!
