"They say it's better to have loved (and eaten good food!) and lost than to never have lost at all."

Beloved rooftop bar Perch took to Instagram today to announce that they would not be re-opening, after nearly two years in business.

Perch first launched in May 2021, and quickly became a hotspot for Cork locals and visitors with their offering of cocktails, pizza, and of course, stunning views.

In their short announcement, Perch revealed the reason behind their closure:

"Thank you for a fantastic few years! They say it's better to have loved (and eaten good food!) and lost than to never have lost at all. Perch has been sold to new owners and will not be reopening. We'd like to thank you for choosing Perch as your go-to spot for rooftop drinks, pizza and good times."

The rooftop bar has been closed for the majority of 2023, so the news that they won't be re-opening is very sad news indeed.

We wonder will the new owners open something else there instead.
