Handsome Burger makes list of ‘Top 50 Burgers in Europe’

Sarah Finnan

Big 7 Travel has given the people what they want; a list of where to find the top burgers in Europe.

Covering everywhere from tiny burger bars to hugely popular restaurants with a cult following, their top picks certainly make for a convincing reason to jet off on a weekend getaway ASAP.

Described as “a deserving newcomer”, Handsome Burger landed themselves a coveted spot at number 20.

Hailed for their use of prime, Irish beef and toppings such as tobacco onions and chorizo – it’s their signature sauce that really brings their burgers to the next level.

Not the first time for Handsome Burger to feature on a list of the top 50 burgers either – last year ranking 35th on The Burger Dudes top burger picks in the whole world.

Bunsen in Dublin also made the list, falling just outside the top five. Their second year at number seven, according to Big 7 Travel: “locals are obsessed with this chain”. They’re not wrong. Special mention went to their creamy shakes.

Topping the list was Sad Man’s Tongue Bar & Bistro in Prague. A funky ‘50s style joint, they serve up burgers with all the fixins including gruyere cheese, bacon and house-made jalapeno cream sauce. “Sheer joy in every mouthful” as the experts put it.

Burger And Beyond in London, Goiko Grill in Valencia, VLND Burger in Tallinn and Flippin’ Burgers in Stockholm completed the top five.
