REVEALED: RTÉ Has Released The Salaries Of Its 10 Highest Earners

After a fair amount of public pressure in recent weeks, RTÉ has this afternoon revealed their top ten highest-earning presenters.

The figures released are for the year 2015 and see Ryan Tubridy sitting on top, taking home an annual wage of €495,000 followed by newcomer Ray D’arcy who joined the national broadcaster on €400,000 a year.

They top 10 consists of three women – Miriam O’Callaghan (€299,000), Marian Finucane (€295,000) and Claire Byrne (€201,500).

The four new entrants to the top 10 in 2015 were Ray D’Arcy, Claire Byrne, Nicky Byrne and Darragh Maloney.

RTÉ Director-General, Dee Forbes, said:

“The audited figures released today for 2015 sees RTÉ maintain our commitment to reduce these earnings by 30% as compared to 2008 levels, while continuing to value the significant contribution our presenters make to public media and to RTÉ’s ability to optimise commercial revenue to support our public services.

“This will continue to be an area of focus for me, as I look to reduce costs across the organisation.”
