Halloumi is arguably the trendiest cheese about.

McDonald’s are launching not one, but two summer menus this year. The Italian Summer Menu launches June 8th, and will be available until July 26th. Then from July 27th until September 6th there’ll be the Spanish Summer Menu. Both menus have some unreal additions, the halloumi fries being getting the most anticipated award.

The Italian Summer Menu

Mozzarella dippers return for the summer season, alongside two new burgers: the Crispy Chicken Italiano and the Italian Stack. The Italian Stack comes with two beef patties, mozzarella, crispy onions, tomato sauce, lettuce and a smooth cheese sauce, all inside a toasted tomato and herb bun. The Crispy Chicken burger contains a crispy chicken fillet, tomato, mozzarella, a basil pesto sauce, red onion and lettuce all inside a ciabatta.

The Tiramisu McFlurry comes with chocolate flavoured biscuit pieces, and a luxurious coffee-and-chocolate flavoured sauce. We’re in for a stunning six weeks of this menu, starting tomorrow.

The Spanish Summer Menu

While I’m sure we’ll be devastated to say goodbye to the Italian menu, the Spanish menu looks amazing as well. Notably its inclusion of halloumi fries. The trendiest cheese on the market, I for one am most excited to try McDonald’s these bad boys the second they land on the menu.

The Spanish menu sees two more new burgers, the Chicken Fiesta, and the Spicy Spanish stack. The Chicken Fiesta comes with the same crispy chicken from the Italiano burger, as well as chorizo, chilli cheddar, spicy tomato sauce, red onion and lettuce served up in a warm toasted chilli and paprika bun. The Spicy Spanish stack is very similar and comes with two beef patties, chilli cheddar, red onion, spicy tomato sauce and lettuce served up in a warm paprika bun.

And last, but certainly not least, is the Spanish fruit punch, an iced bevvy to get you through those (moderately) hot summer days.

So there you have it. Personally I’m most excited for the McDonald’s halloumi fries of the new items on the summer menus, but the tiramisu McFlurry will do me while I wait until July 27th.
