‘New den of deliciousness’ – Daata Bray to open larger restaurant in former Box Burger premises

Bray’s favourite curry spot is movin’ on up.

If you’re into your Indian food, you’re probably familiar with Daata – the multi award-winning, highly regarded Indian and Pakistani restaurant with branches in Bray and Glasthule in South Dublin. If you’re not, take this as your sign to pay them a visit. I’ve spent many a night dreaming of their iconic Afghani chicken – you’d be hard pressed to find a more perfect combination of creamy and spicy.

Personal drool sessions aside, I’m here to spread the good word that Daata are uprooting from their current Bray location, and moving two doors down to the significantly larger former Box Burger premises.

Daata’s cosy seafront restaurant has always been a great spot for date night or a curry and cocktails with pals, but their new space means plenty more room for family birthdays, graduation dinners, Christmas get-togethers – you get the gist. In a post on Instagram, the Daata team wrote:

Secret’s out, here’s Saleem & Shamim (aka Daddy Daata and Mammy Daata) testing out how all things Daata taste in the new Daata in Bray OPENING December 8th. Where is this new den of deliciousness? Happy to share Daata will be opening a much bigger dine in spot right next door to Platform Pizza (the artist formerly known as Box Burger).

Daata’s current restaurant will remain open exclusively for takeaway.

You can get booking for a night out at Daata’s new larger space HERE.
