James Fenton

Sending children to school in Ireland is getting more and more expensive according to the latest survey from the Irish Credit Union League (ILCU ).

On average, back-to-school spend now stands at €1,209 per child compared with €1,185 last year.

The survey found that one in four parents will have to forego some back-to school items this year while around four in ten won’t be able to afford new school shoes for their children.
