Irish restaurant fills tables with panda customers to put a bit of life back in the place

James Fenton

Like many restaurants, La Cucina in Limerick have been missing the hustle and bustle of their customers as the pandemic continues to restrict social activity in Ireland.

La Cucina is currently closed due to Level 5 restrictions but instead of the tables lying empty, the team have come up with a great solution to put a bit of life back in the place.

Each seat in the restaurant has been taken up by a stuffed panda and while they might be quieter than La Cucina’s usual clientele, they’re just as adorable looking, you’re sure to agree. La Cucina said that ‘the place was miserable and empty so we filled it with replacement customers’ and we reckon it’s a fine idea.

Look at their little pizzas! Nothing is black and white during this panda-emic but hopefully the restaurant can reopen to human customers sooner rather than later.
