The Garda Jerusalema dance video is the content we didn't know we needed this week and it's the Swiss Federal Police we have to thank for it.
When the members An Garda Síochána were presented with a chance to take on the viral Jerusalema dance challenge, they weren't going to turn it down and the results were nothing short of a huge success. A clip was posted to the Garda social media accounts yesterday which showed officers from all over Ireland busting some moves to the song by South African DJ Master KG.
Not only was the Irish public impressed but it seems the Swiss police, who were the very people who set the Gardaí the task in the first place, were too. Taking to social media today, they praised the Gardaí's efforts, saying that they 'absolutely nailed it.'
Not only that, but in honour of their efforts, the Swiss police added 'We are all Irish in Switzerland today,' alongside a clip which shows an Irish flag being unfurled at one of their buildings. They also thanked the Gardaí for the 'moments of pure joy' and you can watch their tribute, as well as the original Garda clip, below...
Well, our colleagues @ZugerPolizei took the #jerusalemachallenge to a whole new level. But @gardainfo absolutely nailed it! 💃🕺🐎 In honour to this brilliant performance, we are all 🇮🇪 in 🇨🇭 today. Thank you @gardainfo for moments of pure joy! #StayhomeStaysafe #inthistogether https://t.co/EkSDQCOXQ2 pic.twitter.com/1kY7KpFclj

Earlier, the Gardaí challenged the Irish public to get involved with their own versions of the Jerusalema challenge and you can find out how to do so via this link.
The original will be a tough act to follow but we're all looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Get to work, folks.
