This Belfast Eatery Has Just Been Named Irish Restaurant Of The Year

The 18th annual Food & Wine Awards were announced today, with a number of Irish restaurants, pubs and chefs taking home prizes.

Dublin’s InterContinental Hotel was the venue for for a gala luncheon which saw Ox, of Oxford Street in Belfast, take home the top prize for Restaurant Of The Year.

Ox is at the forefront of the Belfast food scene and we’ve mentioned it before in a travel piece on the city.

Other winners were Andy McFadden of Glovers Alley for Chef Of The Year, Wineport Lodge in Athlone for Best For Romance and La Fougère at Knockranny House Hotel in Westport for Hotel Restaurant Of The Year.
