‘We are saying goodbye’ – Thru Barista in Brittas to close this month

This one cuts deep.

Since 2018, Thru Barista have been keeping beach goers, staycationers and commuters caffeinated on their travels with colourful cups, tasty toasties and a great selection of treats. Ireland has seriously embraced the drive-thru coffee trend over the past few years, and Thru Barista was always a staple of the scene.

Today the Thru Barista team took to social media to announce they’ll be closing at the end of this month, due to circumstances beyond their control.

The post reads:

After nearly 4 years operating in Brittas we’ve been forced to close down due to circumstances out of our control…. It’s sad to say we won’t be serving delicious coffee, smiles and chats to the community anymore. We are very grateful for your loyalty and support and we will sorely miss you.

They thanked their customers, staff and suppliers and also confirmed their final day open would be the 27th of May.

It sounds like a permanent goodbye for their Brittas location but who knows, maybe we’ll see their rainbow container pop up in another spot sometime in the future.

Until then, you’ve got until the end of this month to hit them up for coffee and treats – they’re open Monday -Friday 7am-3pm, and Saturday 9am-4pm.
