The dream team behind TwoCooks restaurant in Kildare will be at the helm.

Nicola and Josef Zammit of award-winning restaurant TwoCooks are relaunching The Lobster Pot, the popular landmark venue in Wexford at the end of this month. While the doors reopened in late April for business, an official launch event will take place this Sunday, 29th May with local music, moules-frites and celebrations all round.

‘TwoCooks at the Pot’ hopes to uphold the Lobster Pot name as a go-to spot for milestone moments and special occasions, while incorporating the relaxed dining experience from their restaurant in Sallins, County Kildare.

Located near Carne Beach in the sunny southeast, The Lobster Pot is a family-friendly seafood restaurant in a traditional pub setting with a focus on local seafood and quality, seasonal ingredients. On the menu, you’ll find a selection of bar snacks and starters along with a regularly changing roster of main courses. As the name suggests,  seafood is the star of the show but there are options for carnivores too.

Speaking ahead of the official launch, Nicola Zammit said:

We’ve been coming here for 10 years so we know Carne really well already. Josef and I have loved eating in The Lobster Pot throughout the years and we’re so proud to now take over the ownership and bring our passion for food and a little of what we do in TwoCooks to The Pot. We’ve already received such a warm welcome from locals who’ve stopped by and we’re looking forward to meeting everyone over our first summer here.

The new Lobster Pot’s official launch takes place this Sunday from 5pm and is open to the public.
