I wait ALL year for the annual Macnas parade in Galway.
For anyone who has yet to experience it, let me tell you it’s pure magic.
Galway comes alive. Lit only by the passing parade lights, the oohs and ahs of the crowd validate the wondrous work of the Macnas team – from performers to organisers, to volunteers.
Kicking off at 5:30pm from the main gates of NUI Galway, the parade will follow the below route.
Pay special attention to the highlighted spots best suited for families if you want optimal buggy space and uninterrupted views for little eyes.
